In august 2013 John Armstrong visited me for an inspiring afternoon, talking about then and now. John sent his first release, the Blood Oranges cassette, in 1989 for airplay, kinda disappeared to reappear as The Speed Of Sound in 2011.

I also interviewed John and we recorded a guitar riff he had in mind for some time. Then John went back to England. We both finished two very individual versions of that riff which is entitled Checkpoint Charlie.

Both versions were finished the same week in october 2013 ... a universal event ... ?
