Lord Litter_the musician
Torn between two worlds?!
Roots music: as one possible final solution to escape from any
manufactured music for profit attitude Litter developped an extreme
interest in the so called roots music, in 2000 he went solo after almost
10 years on the road with his “Lazy Sleepers“ band.
The band started as the "Lord Litter Band" playin rockin' rollin country influenced stuff, two member changes formed "Litter and the Lazy Sleepers" .. slowly transforming into a harsh Rhythm 'n Blues outfit. The band had a cool string of concerts and recordings, had tasty sampler appearences like on "Ball One" with legends like The Yardbirds and Noel Redding. In 1999 it was time for a change.
Recent solo releases:
"Just blame Eddie" and "Let's Face It" released by Orange Entropy Records USA. "Lord Litter is a sonic surprise package. With the quirky wit of Randy Newman, the ability to launch into radically bizarre but beautiful planes like Adrian Belew and the poetic genius of a Bob Dylan Lord Litter is a formidable troubadour." (Muledog Magazine USA)
Visual orrientated soundscape music and experiments: first
interests in this work arose with his theatre studies at Berlin
university. During the 1980's he recorded numerous
soundscape/experimental orrientated releases. Some of this material has
been remastered and was released in 2000 by Stone Premonition Records
England. "From pop, to industrial soundscapes through to hell knows what - this really is a tour de force." (Modern Dance Magazine England)
In 1989, one day after the wall fell, he joined Das Freie Orchester, a
very visual based, free form improvising rock band from East Berlin.
Lord Litter was lead singer and played all kind of self built
"noise-struments". Many underground cassette releases in the USA brought a "cult status". Four years of touring and recording exhausted the concept of the band.
In the late 1990's Litter started a very fruitful cooperation with Andrea Splisgar, where the unusual
ideas of the experienced actor/performer Splisgar
turned out to be the perfect supplement to Litter's strong interest in creating spaced out
atmospheres. Several performances are in the works. Splisgar and Litter
also create workshops that are like a performance where the people
taking part are drawn into an adventure of self experience.
At the moment they are working on their new program "The modern Tiger" - spoken word/sound pieces based on avangarde/dada works.
